A double-trailer combination significantly increases capacity per trip: 60% more freight per trip, 40% fewer trips and 30% lower unit transport costs. This enables more freight to be moved with fewer journeys, improving overall operating efficiency.
The intelligent lift axle adjusts automatically to the vehicle load. When fully laden, it increases load capacity and driving stability; when unladen, it reduces unnecessary rolling resistance and energy consumption, balancing stability and efficiency across operating conditions.
To address the greater overall length and more complex operating environment of double-trailer combinations, the truck uses multi-sensor fusion to monitor its surroundings and provide more comprehensive road and traffic information. By integrating road, vehicle and surrounding-traffic data, the system supports decisions on speed, following distance, lane changes and turning paths.
From driver condition to the vehicle's surroundings and other road users, the system provides multi-layered active-safety support, including Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning (DDAW), Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) and Moving Off Information System (MOIS). It also supports intelligent dynamic speed control, assisted motorway entry and exit, assisted evasive manoeuvres and assisted lane changing, helping the driver handle complex traffic situations with greater confidence.
